Our Story

Life and Mind was created by Paulino YQ, an Afro Pop Reggae Dance hall Artist. A strong believer in the power of Music to generate positive change, Paulino YQ has been involved in designing, running, and funding charitable Musical workshops for several decades. His experience in both non-profit projects and Music has given him a perfect position to effectively and sustainably combine the two. His work is now making a real impact on both his community and international level.

Music Studio

Music lesson Program starts at 9:30 am every day from Monday to Thursday. The hour of teaching is divided into two sections, covering Musical instruments .The music studio need to be fully equipped with children’s piano guitar and modern equipment which will be available for children to take home so that they can continue to practice and produce world class artists

Kids and Volunteers

The children’s progress is carefully monitored during regular assessments.

Apart from the teaching content, the training of volunteers is also very structured. Because Life and Mind wants to form more consistent, long-term relationship between the kids and their tutors, they let the volunteers come every week, tutoring the same child for months. And the volunteers do a great job of making the work fun daily; space is filled with encouraging words and comments, high five’s, love, laughter and  joy.
